Fishing for the Fallen Tournament Round Up and Results

The Fishing For the Fallen and the Wounded Warriors Benefit Bass Tournament you participated in was held on October 29, 2011.  THANK YOU for supporting such a great cause!

The Fishing For the Fallen and Wounded Warrior Benefit Bass Tournament was a huge success grossing over $6000.00. We could not have done it without all of our great sponsors: Bass Mafia Tackle, Fish`N Stuff, Landers Toyota, Discount Tire and Brake, Fish Dinner Lures, Lake Fork Tackle, Bass Assassin, 4 x 4 Outfitters, Arkansas Marine, Performance Boat Works, Hoggs Meat Market, Larry’s Pizza, Dixie Pig, Redneck Remedy, River Valley Heat & Air, Gwatney Chevy and a Host of Volunteers.

Teams from all across the state and mid-south gathered on that COLD morning, 34 Degrees greeted anglers as the last boat put in at 0700.  We started our day with a moment of silence along with Taps being performed on the front deck of Big Sarges Skeeter.  As the sun got high in the sky anglers experienced light winds and bright condition’s.  Although overall weather condition’s where beautiful, I believe if you asked the field of these seasoned fisherman they would agree that they will take some clouds and wind to help the bite here on Greers Ferry.  Several 5 fish limits crossed the scales on derby day.   A limit of 5 strong Smallmouth took first prize with a total of 12.90.lbs.  Here is how the Top 5 shaped up..
